La Coupée is a charmingly renovated townhouse on three floors, dating from the seventeenth century, set in the older, quieter part of the village. It sleeps 7 people plus cot, ideal for 2 families. It is divided as follows: Ground Floor. Large modern kitchen fully fitted and equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, gas/electric hob, extractor fan, electric eye level oven and grill, electric kettle and coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, full range of crockery, cutlery, cookware, glassware and utensils. Bathroom: Bath, hand shower, basin. W.C. Large open plan living/dining room. TV, working granite fireplace. 1st floor. Shower room, basin, W.C. Bedroom 1 (twin beds). Bedroom 2 (bunk beds). Bedroom 3 (single bed). 2nd floor. Converted attic (double bed) with exposed beams and natural wood floor. |

La Coupée has the benefit of a charming little pebbled 'suntrap' garden beside the house, with garden furniture and barbecue, and a large lockable shed. Full gas central heating and the log fire make La Coupée extremely warm and comforting for off season holidays.

| Local Activities | |
Beautiful, sandy bathing beaches are just a couple of minutes stroll from La Coupée. (One of those has a Club des Dauphins, or Dolphin Club, for the children). Pedaloes may be hired, and tuition or hire is available in windsurfing and sailing, while sandyachting, canoeing, and excellent surfing are all available within a few minutes drive. St. Pierre has its own nationally accredited Sailing School offering first class tuition to adults and children, with English speaking instructors usually available. The lively tennis club welcomes visitors. There are however, plenty of peaceful coves, and the picturesque local harbour of Port d'Orange is well supplied with waterfront restaurants. The village boasts an abundance of excellent food shops, fine seafood, and a delightful market each Thursday.
Quiberon,
a stylish resort is five minutes drive down the peninsula, with a huge choice
of restaurants, smart shops, beautiful beaches, several nightclubs and a
casino. Belle-Ile,
Houat, and Hoedic,
three fascinating offshore islands, can be explored using the ferry which runs
several times daily from Port Maria, Quiberon's harbour. Carnac,
mystical site of the world famous standing stones, is a 15 minute drive
away. Those who require rather more activity than merely soaking up the sunshine, reveling in the delicious Breton cuisine, or sightseeing, have plenty of choice, as the following activities are all available nearby. Watersports Sailing, windsurfing, surfing, canoeing, water-skiing, subaqua diving, Banana Boats and pedalos. Tennis the local club offers courts and instruction. Cycling hire available. Horse riding is available nearby on the spectacular Côte Sauvage. Golf several excellent courses within 20-30 minutes (St. Cado, St. Laurent, Ploermel.) Painting: South Brittany is renowned for the special quality of its light. Bird watching: on the seashore, estuaries, and at Falguerec Nature Reserve in the Gulf. Sea fishing Clay pigeon shooting & Microlite flying are also available nearby.

Prices All rates are weekly (Saturday to Saturday) and include electricity and gas. Long lets are available at special rates. Please bring your own bed linen and towels. (Note: It may be possible for overseas visitors to hire the above from us). Our key holder will welcome you on your arrival, & will be available to deal with any queries. Guests are required to leave their holiday home clean & tidy for the next occupants, but may prefer to arrange with the key holder for cleaning after departure. |
