It has its own independent entrance through gates over a graveled drive. Downstairs, there is a large beamed living room, comfortable sofa and chairs round an open fire, a television with Sky TV channels, a dining table and chairs.
There are two pairs of French windows; one overlooking the pond and south to the full Pyrenean chain, the other leading to a eucalyptus-shaded terrace with BBQ and outside dining.
The house has a fitted oak kitchen, ceramic hob, electric double oven, grill, extractor fan, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and walk-in larder. There is a downstairs loo, basin and shower, as well as a telephone for local calls only (service restrainte). Upstairs offers 4 bedrooms, 1 pretty little single halfway up the stairs, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 with bunk beds (3ft width)+ Z bed for number 8 if needed. The kids room has a decorative wrought iron grill across window. All bedrooms have curtains, carpets, and of course shutters. Central heating is oil fired. (There is no tedium with gas cylinders.)
The arched 'loggia', once the old Armagnac 'chais' overlooks the pool and is shared with the other gite and Main House and can offer alfresco dining out of the summer's heat. It offers an extra loo, hot shower and changing room. The property is available for long winter letting from Oct-May.
Le Grenier is up wide sturdy oak steps; a cosy little nest! It has a large open plan living room with exposed beams right up to the roof apex. It is furnished with comfortable armchairs and brass coffee table. There is a telephone for local calls (service restrainte). There is a round dining table with 4 chairs, a fitted oak kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine.
The accommodation
comprises of 1 double room with basin and 1 twin-bedded room. All bedrooms
have curtains, carpets and, of course, shutters. The bathroom has
a bath, shower, loo & electric towel rail. Again, the central
heating is oil fired. The property is available for long winter
lettings from Oct-May. The Arched 'Loggia', once the old Armagnac
"chais" overlooks the pool and is shared by the other
gîte and the owners in Main House.
